Cold chemical welding: connecting element
Chemical “cold whitening”, which can be used as a powerful alternative to conventional welding with heat input, is the resilient connection of two metal surfaces using a polymer-based material. In contrast to the more complex “hot” welding, the connection is not made by changing the structure but with a metal-like composite material which is uncomplicated and highly effective. The durable 2-component polymer-based system is characterized by long processability and low shrinkage.
Compared with conventional welding processes, cold welding with this solution does not need any complex accessories and takes far lesser time. For instance, you won’t find any stress cracks or deformations on the component during cold welding.
Perfect for metal and also ideal for connecting other materials: it is also suitable for “cold welding” of parts and surfaces made of ceramics, wood, plaster and concrete, among others.
